Sixteen Foot Drain - Bedlam Bridge to Three Holes.

The British Pike Squad have been exceptionally lucky to obtain our own stretch of Fenland water on which to hold get-together meetings, and even on occasion part of one of our annual matches such as the Team selection Final or the International itself.

Instead of Day Tickets, the British Pike Squad will be announcing a membership fee of just 5 per year, which will include access by membership card to this water. Full details to follow very shortly.

This water has been secured for us this year by the generous support of one of our members, Paul Higginson who has sponsored the cost of the water for the next 12 months. So a big thank you goes out to him from all our members.

Google map Information

Bedlam Bridge to Three holes info.

The stretch of water runs along the B1098 between Bedlam Bridge (where the B1099 meets the B1098) and Three Holes. Its approx 5 miles long with quite a steep bank either side. Please be mindful of any nesting birds and your footing, there is little no ledge under the water on these drains. The road (B1098) you traverse whilst roaming has a national speed limit, something many do not adhere to and overtaking is very common, please be very vigil of on-coming traffic whilst walking on the roads edge.

Bedlam Bridge End

There is ample parking for at least 6-7 cars along the verge of the B1098 on the east side of the bridge. Be aware there are no ammenities at this end of the stretch, so ensure you bring along enough to eat and drink and as always, please ensure you take your litter home.

Along the stretch - 5 miles

There are a few 'single car' pull over spots where you may decide to start a rove from or maybe fish static. Just follow the drain at not too quick a-pace and you will see them. Please ensure you do not park on any bridges or block any access points to fields or homes.

Three Holes End

The Three Holes end of the stretch has ample parking and a local shop available, perfect for those needing to stock up on food or drink, they also provide hot drinks, pasties etc. The parking is off road in a section owned by the Water Board on the north side of the drain and next to the shop. Access to the water is by crossing over the bridge and using the style to gain access to the bank.
